Vanessa, besides being beautiful and terrifically clever has an incredible wit and tireless drive. Rich has a little John Wayne in him, he’s a strong silent type. Maybe John Wayne is an odd example, but you know what I mean… simply put, he’s a true gentleman. The couple’s relationship has withstood moving across country, law school, Rich’s deployment with the NAVY etc. etc. They wrote their own vows which were incredibly moving. At one point I looked over at Kendall and Heidi and they were balling! I think the greatest testament to their love and commitment though, are the years that they have already been through.

We did some pre ceremony shots at super funky NYLO Hotel in Warwick and some more at the Japanese Gardens. The rain held off until just after the ceremony. The sky cleared up right in the middle of the ceremony for a minute and a few rays of sunshine beamed in. It was quite poetic actually.

As I said, this couple planned so many fun details. Their dogs walked down the aisle all decked out, and walked with the couple as they were introduced into the reception. There was a candy bar,  passed cookies with milk shots, two live performances by talented singer friends, yummy food stations with tons of variety, a giraffe wearing a beret (pics to come!), and  I created a slideshow for their reception which featured pictures of the couple through the years, and clips from videos that Rich made and sent to Vanessa while he was on deployment talking about their plans for future and their dreams for a life together. There is a perfect example of a run-on sentence. ; )

So Kendall, my new assist Heidi, and I have Vanessa & Rich’s super exciting wedding this weekend which will take us to NYLO, and RW Park/Botanical Gardens etc. This wedding has been expertly and meticulously planned and they have so many exciting surprises in store for their guests… including a photo/video slideshow which I made for them! This will be a day of endless photo opps, thats for sure! Good times, can’t wait!

Michelle and Jason’s Providence themed engagement session is Monday… they’re getting married at the Biltmore this November…so stay tuned for that!
