Lauren & Bryan’s FABULOUS Miami-themed wedding at the Hyatt Goat Island

Lauren and Bryan were married at the stunningly beautiful Hyatt Goat Island lawn and had their reception at the equally beautiful Pavilion in a Miami-themed whirlwind created by the incredibly talented Richard Carbotti.

Everything was perfect from the dress, to the lounge furniture, to the starfish motif, to the sparklers, and uplighting. Not to mention the 7,000 yards of white fabric draped over the Pavilion making it look like something out of a movie about fabulous people and their fabulous wedding! Except it was REAL! And believe me, Lauren and Bryan really are just that fabulous!

Allison & Yuri’s Belle Mer Wedding

Here are some shots from Allison & Yuri’s incredibly elegant Belle Mer wedding. The couple got ready at the Hyatt on Goat Island, then held their ceremony on the lawn of the Island House followed by a cocktail hour with more food and variety than you can imagine! The guests then headed over to the Salon for the reception against the most breathtaking sunset. The florals by Stoneblossom were incredible and complimented the Salon perfectly.

Fei & Kevin are Married at 41 North!

As you will soon see, this wedding was ANYTHING but average. Kendall, Pam and I had a ball! Fei and Kevin, along with expert wedding planner Colleen Kimmel of Classic Weddings, pulled all the stops to create their dream wedding. Perfectly tailored to the unique personalties of these two, every element of this wedding included a personal touch… From Fei’s Sex and the City Manolos and custom designed gown, to the vows they wrote for each other and the the diamond-studded wedding band Kevin pulled out as a surprise for his wife. Their event motto “Eat, Drink, and Be Jolly” (a play on Kevin’s apt last name) was everywhere, including on the photos that we printed live for their Photo Station and scrapbook!

The ceremony took place under the sun on the lawn at the Hyatt Goat Island. Fei pulled up in a pink vintage car and from where I stood, I could see that she literally took Kevin’s breath away. We ran around the streets of Newport, jumped on a stranger’s motorcycle, danced in the street all before getting back to 41 North for the reception. The food was unbelievably elegant and the presentation the epitome of chic. I particularly liked the basil ice cream dessert! Fei and Kevin dazzled their guests with a theatrical choreographed first dance which included classic forties musical dance moves….SO cool! People went nuts with the photo station and really took advantage of all the costumes we brought. All in all, a blast was had by all.

I have so much more to say about this wedding, I’ll have to add on later ; )

Kelly and Patrick’s Belle Mer Wedding

So what’s a wee rainstorm in the face of an impeccably planned platinum wedding day? NOT A THING! Especially if you are the adorable Kelly and Patrick who were so thrilled to be together, and whose friends and family were equally enthused and supportive… these two could have gotten married in the eye of a tornado and it would have been just fine! They had to take the ceremony inside the Island House and scrap some of their plans… but it didn’t even matter. Day-of coordinator Tara Vaccaro Gudmundsen was on top of EVERY detail and was a joy to work with… she also did an unbelievable job with the girl’s makeup!

The couple met up before the ceremony to take some pictures, and the natural outpouring of love at that moment was so potent, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! The decor and ice sculptures were dazzling, and the menu superb (including mini burgers, fries, and milkshakes hand passed at 11 PM to hungry dancers). When the rain let up, the cigar roller passed freshly rolled cigars featuring the couple’s logo to guests making their way outside to the firepit overlooking the ocean and Newport bridge in the distance.

Guests tore up the dance floor all night culminating in Kelly and her bridesmaids, followed by Patrick, taking over the stage for a performance of their own! A uniquely fun and vibrant crowd, plus a beautiful couple and genuine happiness all around = priceless!
