Cake Smashing! It’s the most fun and creative way to let your baby sample, eat, play with, and throw pieces of their first (or second, or third) birthday cake. I would guess, if they could talk, that 100% of babies would say they cannot believe their luck when they are given a towering piece of frosting to devour. Here are a few pictures of Jackson enjoying his Yo Gabba Gabba cake on a beautiful spring day. It also appears the “getting clean” part is full of giggles too. I hope this cake smash be the first of many, many wonderful experiences for such a sweet little boy!

So I had some absolutely adorable cuties over to the studio this week to do some Easter portraits! I had such a blast!

I thought long and hard about how to create unique scenery for Easter that’s not only holiday-themed but which would also be relaxed and flexible enough to allow for the subject’s personality to show through. I never want to plop a kid in one place and coax them into looking a certain way. They are so much cuter when you let them be themselves… am I right?!

We broke out the fantastical photo shoot set to grab some fun portraits of this sibling-duo…and they really hammed it up! They brought some of their favorite outfits and toys and we left them to just do their thing. Nothing cuter than a kid’s natural antics!

Baby Makenah!

How adorable is this little sweetie? You might remember Makenah from her parent’s wedding this past summer. She is absolutely hilarious and such a happy baby. I could have photographed her all day, literally, not just because she’s fun to hang out with but she was such a good sport too! We met up at Blackstone Boulevard just before the leaves died …. love, love, love fall themed pics!
