Ali & Adam’s Garden Wedding

Saturday, Kendall, Caitlin and I shot Ali and Adam’s absolutely elegant, ethereal, classic chic wedding at Mount Hope Farms. There was a wonderful warm golden light all afternoon through the ceremony and cocktail hour and the gardens were stunning. Kendall has an obsession with Gardenias and the section of the garden that they used for the ceremony was filled with these huge white flowers. The sweet smell was in the air the whole time and I kept looking over and seeing Kendall looking drunk with contentment. Ali was completely laid back and relaxed, (which is actually this couple’s MO). Every time I have seen them they are full of smiles, just happy to be together, and always fun to be around. Their friends and family were likewise. They said their vows in an intimate ceremony that couldn’t have been orchestrated better by Martha Stewart. The little sweetheart four-year-old flower girl was so excited and serious about her job, she made her way slowly and carefully down the aisle dropping one petal at a time all the while wearing the most beautiful ear to ear smile. Adam’s face lit up when he saw Ali coming down the aisle and he couldn’t help but kiss her hands as soon as he held them. Its hard to explain, but their love was actually tangible. For the cocktail hour, wine flowed, and guests mingled enjoying the grounds as well as delicious and creative nibblies prepared by Russell Morin. The bouquets and centerpieces done by Flowers by Semia were stunning! Ali’s bouquet was so large it needed two hands and was filled with perfectly formed peonies and orchids. Dinner and touching speeches in the barn were followed by a multi-tiered strawberry shortcake tower and a super-fun party. The guests danced to a uniquely fun variety of tunes spun by Rhythm Express, and we got more than a few hilarious action shots! All in all it was the essence of refined garden shabby-chic (what was that women’s name?) and an absolute pleasure to be a part of! A million congrats Ali & Adam!

Here are a few shots from the day:
