Here are a few shots from Cheryl & Ryan’s beautiful Astors Wedding. Cheryl did a Boudoir session back in May with me at Hotel Providence and she and Ryan also had an engagement session a month ago…. so…. having gotten to know this couple as well as I have, I’ve been particularly impatient for this big day! Cheryl looked ethereal in her gown which had an incredible silhouette. The couple exchanged gifts before the wedding (see below for Ryan’s reaction to Cheryl’s Boudoir Album), then got a few of their formal shots out of the way before the ceremony. Videograpy was done by the amazing John from Wedding Stories who brought a glidecam with him to get movie-quality smooth pans… I was so impressed! (Just a llittle anecdote for the techie-geeks out there!) The flowers, done by Sayles Livingston, were exquisite. The arbor in particular was incredibly special, right out of a fairy tail.
I held my breath as the processional made its way from the mansion, down the stone steps and across the lawn for the ceremony. Cheryl’s entrance was epic, and the grin that crept across Ryan’s face when he saw her was classic. They stood under a stunning floral arbor and said the vows that they wrote for each other, alternating between laughter and tears, honoring family traditions and ending with a Hollywood kiss.
The weather was perfection, and the night sky was clear except for a huge full moon that rose over the ocean as the ceremony ended. The party was fabulous and their guests tore up the dance floor ALL night. All in all, the day was like the couple: inspiring, memorable, fun, fun, and fun.
